The Best Start Soedergren Could Get
24-11-2007 The last seven years has Anders Soedergren started the World Cup season slower then slowest. But in Beitostoelen was Soedergren faster then ever.
– This is a perfect start for me says Anders Soedergren.
You could not miss the happiness around Anders Soedergren when he stepped up on the podium and stood next to the winner Axel Teichmann, Germany and the second fastest skier of the day Lukas Bauer, Czech.
Since the World Cup opening 2000 Soedergren has placed 45-did not start-9-16-17-57-41-41…
– This was a lot better and a big step forward. For the first time I feel that I am on it from the beginning of the season. I could hammer it everything I had out there on the course as I wanted and it was full speed all the time, says Anders Soedergren when langd.se meet him after the prize giving ceremony.

The reason he race this well in the beginning of the season is a more offensive attitude and a better technique.
– There is no championship this season so then I want to take care of every World Cup race. All in, all the time. I have also worked with some details in my technique that worked really well in the race.
Anders Soedergren also felt a kick, racing in Norway where he is as popular as in Sweden. All after he won the 50 km race in Holmenkollen 2006.
– Everyone cheers for me here and it does not matter that the Norwegians are after me, says Soedergren who took his first podium ever in a 15 km freestyle race.
