Ganghoferlauf entered two years ago for the first time the Ski Classics Challengers series with two long-distance races and will this year be able to host the event as a Challengers event for the first time. March 2 and 3, 2024, Leutasch will host the 53rd  edition of Austria’s oldest cross-country skiing race. Ganghoferlauf is a two-day event that attracts around 2,000 skiers every year.

Each long distances of both techniques – 50 km in classic and 42 km in skating technique – are part of the Ski Classics Challengers ranking. The race is well placed in the impressive, snow-assured Leutasch valley, which is located between the Wetterstein mountain range and Hohe Munde.
